Healing minds, bodies, and community — one needle at a time

🍂🎃🍁

Fall is here — and your body is already feeling it.

The leaves are turning, the air has that unmistakable crispness, and somehow the to-do list just keeps getting longer. October has a way of doing that. Before the holiday season sweeps in and takes over, we wanted to slow down for a moment and share some things that might help you feel your best through the rest of fall and beyond. (If you’re on our Socials, these are the highlights)

🫁  SEASONAL WELLNESS

Fall is Lung season — here's why that matters

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, every season is governed by an organ system — and fall belongs to the Lung. The Lung in TCM goes far beyond breathing. It governs your immune defense (called Wei Qi), your skin, and your ability to let go — both physically and emotionally. It's also deeply connected to grief and sadness, which is why fall can feel heavier for some people in ways that are hard to put into words.

When the Lung is out of balance this time of year, it can show up as frequent colds, dry skin, a lingering cough, low energy, or a quiet undercurrent of melancholy. Sound familiar? These are all signs your body is asking for a little extra care as the season shifts.

🌿  WAYS TO STAY HEALTHY THIS FALL

Simple ways to support your body right now

🧣Wear a scarf. In TCM, the back of the neck is one of the most vulnerable points on the body — the entry point for wind and cold. A simple scarf goes a long way toward keeping your defenses intact.

🍐Eat for the season. Pears, white radish, garlic, ginger, and warm soups nourish Lung energy and help the body hold moisture as the air turns dry. Swap the iced drinks for warm ones — your Lung will thank you.

😮‍💨Breathe deeply — on purpose. The Lung loves intentional breath. Five minutes of slow, deep belly breathing each morning is one of the simplest things you can do to strengthen your Lung Qi and calm your nervous system.

🌱Stock your herbal cabinet. Astragalus (Huang Qi), elderberry, and Jade Windscreen formula (Yu Ping Feng San) are excellent fall immune allies. Start them now — before the sniffles hit.

💉Book a fall tune-up. Acupuncture points like Lung 7, Lung 9, and Stomach 36 directly strengthen immune function and help the body adapt to the seasonal shift. There's no better time than now to come in.

🎃👻🕯️

Happy Halloween from all of us!

Wishing you a spooky, sweet, and wonderfully fun Halloween. Whether you're trick-or-treating with little ones, handing out candy at the door, or celebrating in costume — we hope it's a great one. Just maybe go easy on the candy corn. (We say this with love and zero judgment. Okay, a little judgment. It's candy corn.) 🍬

🗳️  CIVIC REMINDER

Don't forget to vote!

Election Day is November 3rd — but you don't have to wait. Early voting is available now, and we encourage you to cast your vote whenever it works best for you. Your voice matters, your community matters, and showing up at the polls is one of the most powerful things you can do. Make a plan, bring a friend, and make it happen. 🇺🇸

As always, thank you for being part of the Serenity Acupuncture community. We're grateful for every one of you — and we're here whenever you're ready to come in and take care of yourself this fall.

Warmly,The Serenity Acupuncture Team

*Active license *Patient-first mindset *Flexible availability *Team-oriented spirit

If you or someone you know might be a great fit, we'd love to hear from you — referrals are always welcome, and we're happy to chat informally before anything official.
